DUPAC is kicking off its fall events season with a performance by singer Crystal Bowersox. Fans can see the musician at the Lund Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17.
The 26-year-old singer and songwriter got her first shot at stardom when she competed on the 9th season of American Idol and reached the finals, after years of working her way through gigs all over Chicago. The songstress finally got to unleash her talents on her first album, “Farmer’s Daughter,” which “exceeded sale expectations,” Brian Mansfield said in a USA Today article entitled “Crystal Bowersox’s ‘Farmer’s Daughter’ debuts with 58K sale.”
The country crooner, now on her first national tour, is best known for her blues-tuned, folk-country singing style. Bowersox’s one Chicago stop will be here at Dominican.
Ticket sales start at $21 and can be bought at the DUPAC box office.
